New Associates announced
The firm has announced the appointment of lawyers, Nicole Murphy, Megen McKay and Legal Executive, Caroline Judge as Associates.

Nicole Murphy practices in the area of family law assisting clients on family protection, separation and relationship property issues. Megen McKay advises clients across a range of commercial, property and trust matters. Caroline Judge assists clients with their residential and commercial property sales and purchases as well as with wills, powers of attorney and occupation right agreements.
Nicole and Megen work with a range of firm clients but also with a particular focus on assisting clients situated in the south west areas of the city from the firm’s Hornby office. Caroline Judge is based in the city office.

Solicitor, Alfred (Alf) Malley, begins practising law from a small office on the corner of Manchester and Cashel Streets.
Alf’s son, Felix, joins the practice as Office Accountant and Manager.
Alf’s second son, Edmund, joins the practice as a Solicitor.
Alf Malley is honoured with a dinner hosted by the Canterbury District Law Society to celebrate 50 years in practice.
Partner, Bill Brown, is appointed as a District Court judge.
Malley & Co moves into offices in Cathedral Square.
Partner, Garry Mahon, is appointed as a District Court judge.
Partner, Brian Callaghan, is appointed as a District Court judge.
Malley & Co opens an office in Hornby.
Malley & Co celebrate 100 years in practice.
On 22nd February the Cathedral Square building is damaged beyond repair in the Christchurch earthquake. Malley & Co find alternative premises in the suburbs.
In August Malley & Co are one of the first law firms to move back into the city.
In June Malley & Co merge with Mackintosh Bradley & Price.
